In 2008, my mom was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. At 6 years old, I witnessed the trials this world can throw at us.
I was beside her for every doctor's appointment, treatment and bad day. I was growing up. Meanwhile, my mom was deteriorating in front of my eyes. I hated seeing her sick and exhausted, but I couldn't help her. I couldn't control people's rude glances, I couldn't put an end to the “what's wrong with your mom” questions and I couldn't stop feeling worried all the time....
